Vocabulary from the past

Vocabulary should never hurt you; it should only ... :)

Can you finish the sentence? Our goal is to learn vocabulary roots that will help us grow in every class. If we learn the roots- the definition is  the word. There are plenty of brain hacks to help us along the way: make a system, break it down, make it visual, repeat it often. Latin roots make it easier to learn words in every class whether they were on our vocab. sheet or not. Our four roots a week will create tons of new words when we mix and match with other roots and prefixes.
Classwork: Walk through Latin Roots 1. Look for patterns and visual clues.
Understand the meaning of roots and how they work.

Homework: Finish worksheet due - Wednesday/Thursday- Test.
