Sophomore Literature
Sophomore year is about two things:
1) Making sure that you have a solid footing when it comes to reading: annotation, response, and citation. Whether freshman year was extremely successful or not, it is really important that we review and go further. We want our students to move on to junior year (SATs, harder classes, time running out) and senior year (most applications due in November before grades first semester grades) not just having been successful in the lower grades or even ready to be successful in higher grades, but have a foundation for all the years whether, career or college and career, to come.
2) To understand that we live in a international world culture,
to see the world with open eyes, and to foster a deep respect for your own and other's heritage.
