Point of View is critical. It frames the narrative and automatically sets up a connection between the narrator and the reader-- whether the narrator is good or evil, right or wrong, or even if they are not the hero of the story-- like To Kill a Mockingbird.
We need to ask ourselves questions - regardless of the media or genre- about the p.o.v. and its purpose.
| Who wrote or narrates the story? What audience is it for? What purpose does it serve? Compare TKAM and Harriet. How do they answer the questions differently? Does that matter?
