Class today!
  • A letter to yourself at the end of the year about your goals and how to achieve them. What are your baby steps? Who is your role model who is going to show you how (YouTube is fine). Who is group or person that will support you and check in with you on your journey.
  • Weebly.com-- A website of your very own. You do not have to publish, but we want to learn how to put one together and write blogs about what we love. Someday this might be your resume or your portfolio to send to a scout, a college, a job prospect. :)
  • We began our Sophomore Bootcamp! All sophomores at GHS will learn/refresh how to journal, annotate, organize, and write an essay in MLA. Today your goal was to complete journals 1-3. You do not need to read the article...yet. Think about the questions and answer them with heart and intellect. What do you think? What are your experiences? This is on StudySync. If you did not complete 3 in class, finish at home or on your phone! :)
Next Class:
  • Aiming for the stars! Letters to self should be 1/2 page and decorated. We will make cutouts to "pocket" them and hang them in the sky. ;)
  • Bootcamp: We will work on journals 4-5. Then we will read the article and annotate together. Once we have annotated, all you have to do is summarize the article, edit your annotations and journals together, add your final thoughts. Next step-- find your own article on any related topic. Choose something that concerns you.
