Our last day of class! Finish Chapter 10 of Animal Farm for homework. Make sure you annotated and can answer the questions between chapters for your test on Tuesday. :) Our Final: In-class Essay. Annotate packet and write an essay response in MLA with cited quotes, works cited.
Sophomore English Final
Performance Task: read, annotate, and write essay response in MLA. Includes: format, commentary, quotes, citations, and works cited. Essay will be graded on skills, not completion. Just finish enough to show off your awesomeness. :) (Recommended: thesis + two paragraphs and works cited) Graded on a Performance Task rubric: 4- Standards exceeded, 3-Standards Met, 2- Below Standards, 1-Well Below or off topic Have fun. Do well. Eat lunch. Sleep. :) You've got this! Tuesday! Of Mice and Men and Symbolism Tests. Please review. :) Finals!! Remember your final on finals day is an essay. The topic will not be on your book, it will be on an issue/event that we have talked about as we discussed the issues in our texts-- "As I Grew Older," Greek Mythology, Comics, and Of Mice and Men. Please use your class books and notes as examples if you choose, in addition to the news articles that I give you. Please be prepared to layout your essay in MLA format and cite your quotes. You do not have to finish your essay, but it should look like you know how to finish and would if you had more time. There will be no right or wrong- just your opinion and evidence to support it. Relax and show me what you can do. :)
